Petite Socratesse lives in Han Yunis, Alnamsawie, Gaza-Strip. She is the youngest of a family of nine. Their house was flattened by Israeli forces in retaliation of a Hamas attack on the Israeli settlement of Neve Dekalim together with 12 more houses. As her father told me, the tanks and bulldozers came in the morning at 3am and cleared the area. Left is their garden where petite Socratesse takes her daily bath. From where the shots were fired he could not tell. “Not from my house, why should I destroy the livelyhood of my family?“ His family is supported now by the UN which pay the rent of one hundred US Dollars plus living allowances for food and clothes. The father is without job.
