I tell you about my work. At first I make a heart, an inside with paper. Then I stick the clay - which I sliced thinly - onto the paper and make a shape. I just put them in a kiln. After I finish this process I ignite the paper inside the clay. It burns but does not alltogether burn down and disappear. At the same time, because of the fire, the clay hardens and becomes strong showing traces of paper. Haruka Miyanaga, Kanazawa Art College, 29.4.2006
